  Win a Free Pass to Open Source Bridge 

  The folks in charge of the Open Source Bridge conference, which will be in Portland June 1-4, 2010, were kind enough to give us one free pass (a $300 value) for one lucky member of the Portland WordPress User Group.

  How do you enter to win? Easy. Just join our Google Group anytime between now and midnight on April 30, and you’ll receive one entry into the drawing. If you’re already a member, just post your favorite WordPress tip to the group, and you’re entered. ONE ENTRY PER PERSON. Winner will be chosen by a random drawing. Entry deadline is Friday, April 30 at midnight Pacific time, and we’ll announce the winner on Saturday, May 1.

  July Meeting Date/Place 

  The third Thursday in July (July 16th) is also the date of Ignite Portland 6, so we will NOT be meeting then.  Instead, we will meet on Thursday, July 23 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

  We also have a new meeting location! CubeSpace, sadly, has now closed, so from now on our monthly meetings will be held at Webtrends, 851 SW 6th Avenue, Suite 1600.  Webtrends will also be the site of WordCamp Portland in September.

  We’ll post an agenda for the July meeting later, as soon as it’s confirmed.

  July Meeting Date – Please Vote! 

  The third Thursday in July conflicts with Ignite Portland, and we can’t have that!  So please vote for an alternate meeting date, and we’ll let you know ASAP which one was chosen.

  May PDXWP meeting 5/14 at WebTrends 

  (This is a ‘save the date/time/location’ announcement only – look for more details about the topic/agenda as the day grows closer.)

  Last month, we agreed to move our regular 3rd Thursday meeting up a week to avoid conflicting with a WebVisions party. We also wanted a chance to get a closer look at the space where Portland WordCamp will be in September.
